How do I copy text from my phone to my computer?
Open IcyZip on one device, scan the QR code with the other device, open the link in its browser, then paste or type text into the shared live text field. The paired browser can copy it immediately.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. IcyZip runs in the browser. It pairs two browser views by QR code or link, without login, app installation, email, or cloud drive setup.
Is this mainly for files?
No. The main tool is the shared text field for quick notes, links, codes, and clipboard-style handoff. File transfer is available only as an optional action when both browsers are connected.
What does IcyZip store?
IcyZip stores pairing identifiers for reconnecting, but not your live text or received files on the server. Live text is end-to-end encrypted between the paired browsers; the server only relays ciphertext and can still see connection metadata such as time, IP-derived country, browser class, and message size. A browser tab may keep its current text locally so a reload does not lose it.
